Appleseed goes international... more than half the line at this shoot was Canadian import. They must've snuck down while CBP was searching vehicles...  ???

One shooter had never handled a rifle before, but by the end of Saturday had overcome his initial frustrations and was consistently implementing the fundamentals of a good position, following the six steps, and was getting solid groups on his target.  Outstanding progress.

We also had a rifleman requalify twice on the AQTs we shot.

Hopefully Sunday holds a continuation of this progress..  8)

What a great weekend we had in Massena, NY!

Congratulations goes to Chris who dramatically improved all weekend long and drove several hundred miles to be at the shoot.  He persevered and stuck it out all weekend long and went from zero experience with a rifle to becoming a very competent shooter who knows very well what he is about.  I look forward to seeing him at future shoots and him making Rifleman.

Thanks goes to Victoria who came out and shot for 1 day, and has PROMISED that after attending one more shoot and re-confirming her Riflewoman status, that she will step up and take a Orange Hat.

Congratulations and thank you goes to Ken who not only reconfirmed his Rifleman status at 25m and FD, after having major surgery on his elbow this year nonetheless, but also stepped up and took an Orange Hat!  Thank you and welcome to the Instructor Corps.

And finally thank you to the Instructor team including Spartan, Rattlehead, and Independentrider1, you are an absolute great crew to work with.  Rattlehead passed his Instructor PC this weekend as well and Spartan had the honor of presenting him with his Red Hat.  Congratulations on your accomplishment Ryan!

That will be Appleseed's first international instructor, won't it?  Outstanding!
