Red Coat ALERT! The Ewald Plan...

Some folks here know I have been working on a secrete mission. The time for muster has come, and the plan to be put into effect.

One year ago this "foreign adviser" was spotted in my home town.

I was out manned and under gunned. All I could do was recon. Today he has returned, and I am ready.

Now some here may speak of Northern aggressors. Others may say the South shall rise gain. I call for unity. I call for action! I have a mission, for I must rid the rightful and peaceful Ville of Naper, my hometown, of RED COATS wherever I may find them.

We have assembled an all star fire team. Garand69, Pappy, Mrs. Pappy, M1D, GumBallHead, Marty EMT, Joan of Naper, and yes (with hope and prayer) the DANGEROUS OLD MAN. Amongst us are Yankees and Confederates. We have a one minded coalition. We shall wake this burg and drive the Red Coat out forever!

The Northern Illinois Promotions Team is sponsoring concessions at Naperville Settlement's Civil War Days. We have been through a lot. It is time for some team building. It is time for some fun. Oh yeah, we're going to fill the lines along the way. If you are in the Napperville area, come on out. See the show. If you want join the line. There is room.

We'd love to see you, but what really matters is where is your heart? Where ever you may find yourself this weekend, DRIVE OUT THE REDCOATS!

AAR Day1:

Attended familiarization briefing on Spencer Rifle TDY Chicago Artillery. RTB. In transit to CIC encountered British Military personal. Detained and questioned. Upon detention hostile produced dully issued order of safe passage by War Department. Escorted with proper protocol to CIC. Briefed on European military policy during the War of States. Advise further observation of said British officer and entourage.

It was a good day. Seventh stepping to the public was slow, but then so was the event. The reenacter after hours picked up once Sargent Major Pappy visited encampments and invited a few fellars over. There are a lot of people here who love history and know what they are about. Tomorrow promises to be a busy day. We will roll over and do it again.

That's it! We are all Appleseeders and all Americans. That's where our strength lies.  O0

Civil War Days sounds like fun! We have some events like that in Minnesota. What does it mean to sponsor concessions? I would like to try to arrange something like that in our area, too, with the Civil War reenactors. Any advice would be appreciated. :)

I did have some success yesterday at a WWII reenactor event at some nearby fairgrounds. I went around and talked to reenactors and handed out trifolds with our state schedule insert. Lots of interest, and very nice folks. O0  They said they are open to Appleseed having a table or canopy booth there next year.

This was a new venue for us, and it was a tremendous success.  We had a captive audience, and like minded folks to share the joys of project Appleseed with.  A HUGE thank you for the opportunity from the Naperville Historical Society, and Ewald for setting this up.  We had a great time, and met some awesome people.

Our "capture" of our redcoat was quite the highlight.  He had orders to be an observer, and all the historical information to really help us understand why he would have been in the civil war.

Thanks again, and kudos to my fellow appleseeders!

What?  You guys raid a detachment of Royal Canadian Mounted police and kidnap one? ^:)^  :cool2:
Either that or you did a night raid on Royal Rhodes Military College after dark, scaled the ramparts
and captured him. Careful you don't want to be labeled by president zero for being hard on foreign relations.
