Maybe I am not looking for the correct listing. When I go to the NYSP website and enter in the search box "banned", the search results show a link to their page for the SAFE Act. Clicking on that link comes up with page not found. Search for "SAFE", and "weapons" displays a listing in the search results but same results when clicking on the link. Maybe the web site maintainer has put the a reference line in but not the actual page yet. (If they ever will...)

To help answer the numerous questions regarding the law, members of the Cuomo administration on Friday rolled out a new website, (http://www.governor.ny.gov/2013/gun-reforms-faq) containing information about the new assault weapon ban. They also said an informational phone hot line (855-529-4867 or 855-LAWGUNS) was set to begin operating on Monday during normal business hours.

State Police Superintendent Joseph D'Amico stressed that most weapons, such as hunting rifles or shotguns, won't be banned. "Most guns used for hunting and sporting are not assault weapons and they are not affected by these laws," he said, and "most handguns possessed by people are not assault weapons."
