I'm thinking about picking up a few hundred rounds of this stuff.  Anyone know if its any good?

Depending on your location, www.wideners.com may be a slightly better price after shipping(or not, again, depending on location)

I've shot a little bit of the Prvi XM193 and I just ordered 2k more of it last night, if that is of any help.

I know it's 55gr, not the 75 you are looking at, but it was brisk, consistent, and accurate enough for me.
Don't let your mind wander, it's too little to be left alone...

That 75 gr stuff works out to under $400 for 1000 rounds, so, I'd have to say it was a good price. Prvi Partisan is good stuff.
They have men amongst them who know very well what they are about, having been employed as Rangers against the Indians and Canadians and this country being much covered with wood, and hilly, is very advantageous for their method of fighting. . . . ".  Lord Percy

Sounds like New Englanders to me.

FYI, Ammoman has the same stuff in stock, 1k rounds for $369, grabbed some last week.  Good stuff.

Have shot PPU in 55 and 62 grain, but not the 75 grain, yet.

FWIW - I buy ammo from all the sites listed above and have had good luck and service with them all, but keep in mind that the Ammoman price includes shipping. ;)

No he still has it, I think your looking at the federal ammo.  Click on 223/5.56 on the top, and then scroll down the page some.  Has it in big red letters, ON SALE, MADE BY PRIVI PARTIZAN IN SERBIA.  Still $349 for 1k rounds.

SGTCap

I think your looking at the 55grn ammo.  THe only 75grn I see is $450 a case.  Thats a little high for me, unless I'm missing something.

Bought some of this from AIM a couple weeks ago:

http://www.aimsurplus.com/acatalog/Prvi_Partizan_.223_75grn_Boat_Tail_Match_Hollow_Point.html

Finally test drove it today on a Q&D AQT.  Here are the results.

Stage One    - 45-1
Stage Two    - 46-1
Stage Three  - 50-5 (clean)
Stage Four    - 50-4 (clean)

After doubling stage four I came up with a 241-11 using a 20-inch, 1 in 8 twist bbl.  YMMV.

Didn't have time this morning to put it on paper at match distances.  Depending on how it prints I may buy some more.

Oh yeah, it was a good day!  ;D

Glad to hear it.  I have 3.5k of that stuff now and no AR assembled to test it with.  Its what I plan on taking to bootcamp latter this year along with a metric buttload of Automatch for my 22LR.

Just ordered some of this from Cheaper Than Dirt - http://www.cheaperthandirt.com/55916-0.html

This 75 grain practice ammo recently received a good review in the SGN and, although it's steel cased Wolf, it should be more than adequate in a 1 in 8 or faster twist rifle for Appleseed purposes.

Phoned in the order and was able to use the CTD discount promo code that didactic has worked so hard to secure for us.  Thank you, Sir.

Will post range results after it arrives and I get a chance to give it a test drive.

Ordered a couple cans of this stuff...

http://www.aimsurplus.com/acatalog/US_.223_55grn_FMJ_Introductory_Offer_.html

Ended up being about 36ยข a round delivered in two .30cal ammo cans.

Have not shot any of it myself, but some folks were using it at the last AS in Davilla and it ran fine with zero problems and good accuracy. Brass seems to be commercial weight, slightly lighter than LC, but not as light as FC. Should be good for reloading.

Widener's has Privi M193 (55gr) for $350/1000 delivered, and 62gr lead 5.56 for $370/delivered.  The Privi M193 shoots well for me (1" @100 yards out of a Remington 788) and reloads well too (once the primer crimp is swaged).  They also list Privi M885 (steel core) and 75 gr match ammo.

OK, this ammo appears to be underpowered for my rifle as it short strokes the bolt and gave me fits with several FTF & FTE problems.

It's qualifies as Ball and Dummy ammo as it was good practice shooting an AQT with it and clearing the failures.  I still managed to squeak out a 210-13 with it.  (No, Nickle, I did not pour water on my head.  ;D)

This was using a match conditioned A2.  Will have to try it on an M4gery and see if it cycles any better.

Switched to my usual PPU 75 grain AQT fodder and shot a 238-14.
