Well folks,

This will be short.

We had zero pre-regs for this shoot and the local boots on the ground (BOTG)  had no feedback indicating that there would be many walk-ons so we took a late decision to cancel this shoot to save the expense of flying/gassing in an out of state Shoot Boss, plus hotels, etc.

Two people turned up on Saturday, youth under 21, as a result of a local newspaper ad. The local BOTG's ran an unoffical mini shoot for them and hopefully they enjoyed themselves and will turn up for the next shoot on July 31/Aug 1 weekend.

We need to make sure that people realize they need to pre-register even if they are free in order that 1) we know what the turnout is going to be to avoid unnecessarily canceling a shoot, and 2) reserve their places on the line if the shoot is full - walk-on's should go on a wait list, first come first served, which is opened after all the pre-registered shooters are signed in at say 9:00 am.

The local BOTG had run a good effort to promote this shoot, newspaper ads, fliers, even 50 minutes on a local AM radio show interview, so if anyone local is reading this who has any idea what, if anything, may have been competing with us this weekend please let us know because the local BOTG's are scratching their heads over this. And please, help us promote the next shoot on July 31/Aug 1.
