Hey all!
Another fabulous shooting & learning event being held by your local Appleseed Instructors @ Raahaughes!
Quite literally, a "blast"!

Where is it?

Location: Mike Raahauge Shooting Enterprises, located at 14995 River Rd, Corona, CA 92880.

What is it?

A chance to learn fundamental rifle marksmanship basics, such as the 6 steps of taking the shot, NPOA, being able to convert inches/minutes to clicks so you can adjust your rifle to what the target tells you, sling usage, standing, sitting/kneeling/ and prone positions, and much more.

A chance to prove your marksmanship mettle against the dreaded AQT, to show mastery of not only your rifle, but also your self!

A chance to hear of the choices and sacrifices the men and women of America made on April 19, 1775 in response to a confiscatory British army.

A chance to again discover your inner Patriot, and to celebrate together with fellow Americans in one of your oldest rights!

You say you've never shot a rifle before? This is one of the things we teach; safe, correct, & efficient operation of your rifle.

You say it's been awhile since your rifle has been out to the range with you, for you to see where both of you are in that "relationship"? Bring it out!!

We specialize in making you a better shot with your rifle!! If you do not have one, or if yours fails during the event, we even have some .22's to loan out.....just ask before the event, if possible.

We shoot at 25m (82 ft) on a reduced scale Army Qualification Target, scaled for 100, 200, 300, & 400 yd shooting. We do not require the use of specialized gear, it really is a "run what you brung" shoot. We suggest the use of between .22 - 8mm rifles.

Iron sights, Tech-Sights, scopes, semi auto, bolt action, lever action, pump action, if you have it, & want to learn how to shoot it better, bring it!!
Bi-pods are not allowed, we actually teach how to get away from "needing them".....

Plan on shooting about 250 rounds of ammo, per rifle, per day. The range is our classroom, with the firing line being the "testing area", & we very much believe in teaching, & shooting.

All applicable California rifle restrictions are in place, if in doubt to what is allowable, please refer to: http://www.ag.ca.gov/firearms/

Now, what is this going to cost you?
Women, anyone under 21, and active military, reserves, and National Guard are given free admittance.
Guys, 21 & older that are not in the military will be charged $45 for one day, $70 for the full weekend if they pre register here:
February 6 - 7, 2010 - http://www.eventbrite.com/event/463370955

If they just show up at the door without pre-registering, it will be $50 for one day, and $80 for the weekend.
Additionally, all shooters must pay range fees. They are $20.00 per shooter/day, 17 and under $10.00/day.

We highly recommend you bring: Rifle, ammunition, hat, adjustable sling, shooting jacket, ear plugs & shooting glasses, elbow pads, shooting mat (or carpet remnant), bag lunch, plenty of water, some drink bottles, stapler & staples, pens, chair, and most importantly, a teachable attitude.

For more information on what to bring, go to www.appleseedinfo.org; click on the link below the picture of the Eagle.

Check the weather the night before, so you can be prepared ahead of time. If you have a strong shade device (E-Z-UP, etc), you most likely will want to bring that as well.

If you do not currently have a sling on your rifle, it will help immensely if your rifle at least has sling studs/swivels on it.

Registration starts promptly @ 8:30 am, both days.

We look forward to seeing you there, and remember, register early!! It not only saves you time, but also allows us to know how much "stuff" to bring.....

Any further questions? Feel free to call Bob @ 818-359-2046, or email to CA@appleseedinfo.org
