The Charleston metro area, about 35 miles away to the east, has everything from budget to very plush lodging facilities. Huntington is located to the west of PCGC and also offers a wide variety to choose from. Check online for descriptions and pricing: http://www.wvexplorer.com/Metro_Valley/default.asp

Directions: The Club range is located on the backside of the Putnam County Park.

Take I-64 to the Winfield exit, from Charleston turn right onto Rt. 34, or from Huntington turn left onto Rt. 34. Stay on Rt. 34 until you reach the intersection of Rt. 34 & 35. Turn right on Rt. 35 and travel to the Winfield bridge, cross the bridge, then turn left on Rt. 62 to the town of Eleanor, about 1 mile. Take the first road (E St.) on your right after the Gino's, which will be on your left. Turn right on Park Road and continue until you get to the pool on your left, then make a right by the old school house, crossing over a small concrete bridge.  Make another right onto the dirt/gravel road, continuing thru two gates (the first is the park gate and the second is the range gate), until you reach the Cowboy Range which will be to the right of the Pistol Range.

GPS: TBA

State laws to be aware of: WV is a "gun friendly" state, but check local and state laws ahead of arriving.

Misc. :
This is a beautiful, multidiscipline shooting facility, located in the Southwest corner of WV, between Charleston and Huntington. There is gas and food about 2 miles from the facility. The WV State Capitol and Yeager Airport are about a 45 min. drive. There are plenty of 4 season activities and historical sites in the general area for those wishing to extend their stay.

Bring out your 22s and gain valuable marksmanship skills without using up your expensive center fire ammo. There will be a 100/200/300 yd. range available if not in use, so be sure to bring your centerfire rifle and see that the 25 meter skills transfer to actual distance too.
