Hot Springs, AR - AAR - Aug. 15-16, 25m Rifle Clinic

The weekend began hot, but that soon changed.  It got hotter!  By Sunday afternoon, the thermometer was showing 105 in the shade.  And in Arkansas, there is no "Dry" heat.  But we had canopies for shade and big fans blowing across the line and a spirit of perseverance that overcame the heat.  We began the weekend with four shooters who hung with it for the entirety and never complained!  Amazing!  All were committed to becoming better Riflemen (and Lady) and worked hard all weekend long.  All were good shooters who made steady improvements throughout the event.  All indicated that this would not be their last Appleseed and I anticipate them going on to earn their Rifleman patch at a future event.
Thank you, Catherine, Lee, Andrew (first time Appleseeders) & Stephen for making this event special!  And thank you Stephen (aka frog50) for stepping up to take a blue hat!  Welcome to the Arkansas Instructor Cadre – we look forward to working with you!  Thank you to my fellow instructors at this event, Buddy Love, Jayhawker & Chunn1. You all served as great examples and worked to keep everyone hydrated & safe as well as providing excellent instruction.  Also, a big "Thank You!" to our host range, MVSA, who consistently supports Appleseed.

We made a trip to Arkansas recently looking for cooler weather -- NOPE!  It was HOT!

I'm impressed that everyone made it through the weekend!

We will be visiting AR often, so hopefully we will get to meet and work with y'all!
