The 25m Appleseed shoot wrapped up 10 days of the biggest Appleseed event, the "Colonial Shooter Memorial Pistol-RBC-Rifle", in the country. The final event started on a cold June morning with 11 shooters lined up for liberty. The first hits count target showed that there was some warming up to do in spite of the 10-20 mph winds.  :~

We proceeded through the course of fire in the elements and finished strong with solid improvement by everyone. Sunday morning was again cool, (low 40s), and the first hits count target showed that some rest out of the wind really helped as all shooters were in the money. After some review and course of fire we got into the real nitty gritty of the AQTs. The wind let up and it was high time for some high scores and that's what the shooters did.  :---

We had two new riflemen, some requals and the "Redman" brought home some serious bacon with a 221 score on an AQT using a bolt action rifle. Git er done!!!  ..:..

We were grateful the wind let up enough to get a group photo, hand out awards to the youth and adults, but most importantly two new Orange Hats! Congratulations to all shooters who toughed it out on the Laramie plains. Keep practicing and tell everyone about our Liberty!

Live Free or Die!!!

It does not take a majority to prevail... but rather an irate, tireless minority, keen on setting brushfires of freedom in the minds of men.

"Honor, justice, and humanity, forbid us tamely to surrender that freedom which we received from our gallant ancestors, and which our innocent posterity have a right to receive from us. We cannot endure the infamy and guilt of resigning succeeding generations to that wretchedness which inevitably awaits them if we basely entail hereditary bondage on them." â€"Thomas Jefferson (1775)

This was such a fun shoot. My nephew and his friend had a great time. It was also fun for my husband and I to get rifleman together along with our orange hats! Thanks so much to everyone who came and shot with us.

Special thanks to all the instructors that made sure it was fun even after their full week of shooting. We will definitely be back to help run the next one.

HUZZAH! HUZZAH!
