This event was a long time in planning.  Last year Sebastian reached out to T.Wolf about an Appleseed for the Scouts.  The logistics of finding a range, finding 14 loaner rifles, and getting it organized came together.  Thank you Sebastian for the dilligance and leg work, thank you to Whortlekill Rod and Gun Club for hosting us, and thanks to the scouts and their parents for getting them to the event. Thanks to Cujocop and Cannibal for the instruction, coaching and support over the weekend.

We had nine scouts and 5 parents soak up the instruction and hear the history. We had wonderful weather and the shade from the pop-ups was key on Sunday (thanks again Sebastian). I hope each and every one of you persist and come back to another event.

Appleseed is friend to all, enemy to none

So glad this event was a success. Thank you MattNH, Cannibal and CujoCop for you dedication, time and travel - we couldn't have pulled this off without your support. Sebastian, thank you for rallying the scouts to the firing line - I'm happy we could deliver a Project Appleseed for them! We're hopeful to return to Whortlekill Rod & Gun Club for a public event next season
"There is nothing which I dread so much as a division of the republic into two great parties, each arranged under its leaders, and concerting measures in opposition to each other." ~John Adams 1780

Brave men fall with a battle cry
Tears fill the eyes of their loved ones, and their brothers in arms
And so it went for Joseph Warren
It should have been different, it could have been easy
His rank could've saved him, but a country unborn needs bravery
And it spread like wildfire
