Another great shoot at L.E. Duncan's Rainbow Range Although there were a number of no shows the shooters that were there were enthusiastic and a huge help getting the range transitioned from a pistol range to  the Appleseed range. This is no small feat as there are 20 plus steel targets that need to be taken down and stored away, backers, mats and EZ-UP's to be put up. All of this was done in an hour. This shoot boss greatly appreciates this help!!! The weather was great on Saturday but got a little hot on Sunday under a cloudless sky, The range lived up to its usual very windy reputation. There were 3 new Rifleman, 2 of which were new to Appleseed along with John earning his distinguished patch with a 242. Norm C took a Orange hat and will be an asset to the program. Also we welcomed Kurt back to the program after 3 years in Japan with the US Navy. It was great to have him back. The rest of the crew did a great job including Kevin. The history presentations were well received. We will have the schedule for next year posted soon. Thank You All. Stormn/Norm T
A strong body makes the mind strong. As to the species of exercises, I advise the gun. While this gives moderate exercise to the body, it gives boldness, enterprise and independence to the mind. Games played with the ball, and others of that nature, are too violent for the body and stamp no character on the mind. Let your gun therefore be your constant companion of your walks.

That was a wonderful weekend despite the heat. A big thank you to all the instructors - it was my first Appleseed, and I look forward to many more!
