Two days of sunshine and summer weather made for an excellent weekend at the WCW Shooting Sports range for both shooters and the volunteer instructors! Illness kept a few of the sold-out crowd from joining us this time but we hope the twelve shooters that came out learned more than expected about their rifles, shooting ability, or themselves. The number of heads nodding along while hearing the Three Strikes of the Match were wonderful to see as a Shoot Boss - both volunteer and shooters bringing the passion to our shared history.

As the weekend progressed, hits-count scores trended towards smaller and smaller targets, Sunday morning every single shooter was able to engage at least one of the silhouettes. Three shooters at their very first event came away with Rifleman patches! Congratulations to Steve for the highscore of the weekend with 220 on the first AQT on Sunday! Douglas wasn't far behind, scoring 217 using a loaner rifle. Rob made it happened on his last AQT and scored 217 after very consistent progression all weekend. So many others were close, Chelsea with a 199, Connor 189, Skye 186. Keep practicing these skills at the range and with dryfire and you'll be in a good spot when we see you next time.
