A big THANK YOU to the Oil City Ikes for their continued support of Project Appleseed!

Keith, Arron and other club members helped set up the range the night before.  Eighteen Americans turned out to learn more about their Heritage and marksmanship.

The Ikes is home to an Olympic level rifle program taking competitors to Colorado and has a current Team USA member.  The results show they have many amongst them that know WELL what they are about!
Keith shot a 250 among several Distinguished scores.  12 of 18 Cleared the Red Coat target and Shot Rifleman scores.

Last evening, it occurred to me that when a defender of Liberty is called home, their load lands upon the shoulders of the defenders left behind. Just as the Founders did their duty for Liberty, every subsequent generation must continue their work lest Liberty perish. As there is no way for the remaining adults to take on the work of those that die, we must pass the ideals and duties on to the children. -PHenery

I'd like to thank all the instructors and volunteers that came and put on a great event. Aubrey had a great time and was able to become the youngest Oil City Ikes rifleman, and clear the red coat 2x with a bolt action at 11 years old. I wasn't even able to achieve the first time I attended.
