What an honor to be able to teach about the men and women who made this great nation possible on the 250th anniversary of the most important day of American history. We had great (if not a bit chilly in the mornings) weather and even better students. With 26 that signed up and 25 who  showed up, it was the largest shoot in Alaska for quite some time! We had ages ranging from 9 to 74 and everyone had an outstanding, and teachable attitude. It was amazing to see the 9 year old harassing his parents to hurry up getting the lunch from the car so they wouldn't miss any of the 2nd strike! He was hooked on the history! The new 'Parkers Revenge' target was a student (and I'd be willing to bet Instructor) favorite! We had a wonderful shoot and had 7 shooters qualify! (And some instructors who requalified after the days instruction was over as well. They couldn't help but want to engage the new and beautiful 250 year anniversary targets!) We also were able to be there to witness a long time Appleseed Instructor (And Master Instructor) be awarded the 'High Son Of Liberty' award, and let me just say that it was amazing to be there for that. (CONGRATULATIONS ITSANSKS!)

Everyone involved did a fantastic job, and I am very much looking forward to the next one!

Congratulations to Eric on the award of High Son of Liberty! You certainly are that.

Nice pictures of the event at Birchwood.  Did I see an Old Mikey?  also recognized Jeff and Jameson.

I'm glad to see that winter subsided in time for this event. April in Alaska can be fickle.

You had a well-attended event.  we had a good one as well in Fredericksburg.

I'll be back up in Alaska this August.  Will try and meet up with you all.
