Hot Springs, AR - AAR - April 19, 2025

On Saturday, April 19, 2025, nine Appleseeders came together at the MVSA range in Hot Springs, Arkansas to improve their marksmanship skills, to hear some history and to celebrate the day that 250 years ago began in earnest this country's path to independence.  And what a great group of shooters!  Bree & Kevin travelled all the way from Mississippi to test their marksmanship skills by using rifles equipped with Tech Sights. Nice job to the both of you!  It was good to have my friends Allan & Stephen come down.  Even though I see them at other shooting events in the area, it was good to have them at Appleseed!  Gail was a first time Appleseeder at this event and, I believe, it won't be his last.  It was nice to see his enthusiasm!  Ben was another first-time attendee and shot very respectable scores on AQT's.  I expect to see him and his children attend future events!  Joe & Tim have attended other Appleseed events with us and it is always(!) a pleasure to have them on the line.  Addisyn is another regular who took home one of the special Rifleman patches given at this event and who, along with Tim, stepped up to take an orange hat!  Thank all of you for taking time to help celebrate this special day in the history of our country.  And speaking of that history, our instructors did a wonderful job of presenting the 3 Strikes. Those stories along with the Memorial Volley made this a very special Appleseed. Swifton Gal, Guns & Hoses, Buddy Love, Comfort & Moto Man did a fantastic job of making this a successful event!  Their expert instruction and story-telling skills helped keep this one-day event on track, interesting, fun and above all, safe!  I am looking forward to having Tim & Addisyn join the ranks of this excellent Arkansas Instructor Cadre.  I also look forward to seeing, hopefully, all these shooters again at future Appleseed events!

It was a really nice event. Ol' Bright1 did a fine job as the shoot boss. Seemed to run smooth and a lot was crammed into a one day event. Really enjoyed the Memorial Volley. Makes you think about what our forefathers sacrificed for us to have the freedoms that so many take for granted. I look forward to the next event I am able to attend.
