It was another wonderful weekend at the Nappanee Conservation Club. We had 19 shooters turn out and push through the chill in the air, to learn about marksmanship and our heritage. Dispite being cold in the mornings both days turned out to be beautiful days. By the end of the weekend we had 3 rifleman with many knocking on the door with scores in the mid 190s to low 200s. I am certain that with practice and persistence those scores will only improve and they will have those rifleman scores. The instructors that came out to help were a big part of those scores, I can't thank them enough for all the hard work they put in over the weekend. A big thank you to the Nappanee Conservation Club for hosting the event as always the hospitality was amazing. I know there were some pictures taken over the weekend if you have any please share them for everyone.

Returning to Napanee Conservation Club on the second weekend of October was special to me because I completed my requirements to become a full instructor and earned my Red Hat here last year. We had a great group of participants with 19 on Saturday and 16 of those returning on Sunday. Despite being short one instructor we managed to have a safe and productive event. We got to douse our newest Rifleman with the waters from under the North Bridge when he shot a 210 to earn his Rifleman patch. Congratulations Noah !
We requalified several other Rifleman and got other shooters close. I got to work with a number of participants and help them understand the fine tuning that they need to work on to shoot the score next time around.
Kudos to Shoot Boss Click for keeping the time monkey at bay and the ship on course. A huge thank you to Dave Rose for his superb admin work, RSO help and working with our 4 bolt gun shooters. A standing ovation for NCC host and resident Orange Hat Jeff for all his hard work with special mention to his lovely wife for the great hot lunches Saturday and Sunday. And finally a special thanks to Jeff's daughter Emily  (here after known as "Picasso") for agreeing to be my model for Sunday's POI review.
All in all a great weekend with some of the greatest people on earth. I look forward to returning here next year.
