Charlotte, NC AAR – Dec 7-8, 2024

We had a nice turn out of nine shooters in Charlotte, all but one who were attending their first Appleseed! They grooved on the Three Strikes and soaked up the marksmanship instruction. We awarded one Rifleman patch and saw vast improvement in shooting across the board. For example, a brand new shooter who nailed the 300 yard silhouette on the Hits Count target.

Thank you to all participants and a big thanks to my fellow instructors including Motorcycle Dan for venturing to Charlotte from distant lands to help instruct.

I was at this shoot and was the person who scored rifleman. This was my first Appleseed and I wasn't really sure what to expect. From my perspective, the instruction across the board was awesome. I felt like I had lots of individual attention and guidance on my technique. The demonstrations were helpful and the history telling was enjoyable and interesting. The team did a great job and I'm excited for another Appleseed. I'm planning to attend another 25 meter event as well as a rimfire KD and pistol course as they become available in NC.
