Thank you to the Young Marines of Macomb County for joining us at Lapeer Sportsmen's Club last weekend.  We had a great event with nine youths who camped out on the range for two nights, and participated in our national heritage of Liberty, Marksmanship, and History.

Posterity - you will never know how much it cost the present generation to preserve your freedom. I hope you will make good use of it.

The Young Marines certainly made good use of their freedom last weekend.  We had an interesting mix of experience on the firing line, with some marines attending their first Appleseed, while others were participating in their second, third or fourth event.  We had three young marksmen on the line who were handling a rifle for the very first time, and we applaud their attention to safety all weekend.

Congratulations to our Rifleman, Seth - fantastic job out there!  I would love to see you in an orange hat, my friend ;)

The Young Marines are very attentive and squared away, and they reminded us once again to have faith in the next generation of Americans who are preparing to pick up the torch of Liberty which has been carried and protected by all preceding generations linking us back to April 19, 1775.

Thank you to all of the volunteers from both organizations who made this event a success!  Thank you to the Appleseed volunteers who made sure every marine had a functioning rifle to borrow, and thank you to the YSSA for making youth ammo available for this event.  And special thanks to Roundballer for giving everyone a taste of what that first generation of patriots was working with in the field!
