Wright City, MO AAR September 14-15, 2024

Bench Rest Rifle Club hosted their last Appleseed of the year this past weekend in Wright City, MO. Rain was expected all weekend but surprisingly, never made an appearance!

Instead, the almost full line of shooters were met with numerous other obstacles – between several ammo and equipment issues, our shooters persevered to make the most of their weekend.

Improvement was experienced by all, in particular by our two riflemen: Simon with an impressive 241, then later a 248! And Jon with a 226!

The line was populated by several youths who braved the heat and long days to be outdoors and learn of their heritage. Shout out to Troop 387!

A quick recognition for our top-tier instructors. You guys and gals were insightful, diligent, and patient to handle all that was thrown your way this weekend.

It was truly a great weekend.  For my first Appleseed being an instructor, I was welcomed with open arms and had an amazing time.

 Really, where else can you see a total case head blow out and a 10-22 magazine spontaneously disassemble all in 20 minutes? Great work by instructors and shooters alike made for a successful event.
