We had some great weather for shooting at this event.  I think it's my first event this year that didn't rain on at least one day.  The weather was in the mid-80s with a light breeze.  This event was a small event with three eager shooters.  Phoebe and I were the instructors for the shoot.  On Saturday, we opened up with the hit counts target and the usual basic instruction.  Our shooters took advantage of the instruction and shot very well.  Two of them scored Rifleman, and one claimed the coveted Immortal 400 patch.  The other was a beginner and still getting used to his centerfire rifle. Phoebe told the history of the First and Second Strike, and covered stories of the women of the Revolution. I covered the history of the Maryland Immortal 400.

On the second day, all of our shooters returned, and we went right into helping two shooters who needed to borrow rifles and getting the rifles adjusted and sighted in.  Once the shooters were comfortable with the changes, we began shooting AQTs.  One of the shooters prequalified again.  Our beginner doubled his scores from the first day, and we worked on the basics and NPOAs for the rest of the day.  As for history, I covered the Third Strike and Daniel Morgan history. Phoebe covered more stories of Dangerous Old Men and women of the Revolution.

Overall scores, Ross had a high score of 212, Bryan had a high score of 216, and DJ started out with an 80. By the second day, his high score was 181. He more than doubled his high score from Saturday! Huzzah! 

Overall, everyone had a great time, and scores improved. We hope to see our shooters again soon.
