What a fantastic event!

We had a great group of adults and kids. The weather was rainy and very muggy but everyone pushed through it. We simply rearranged some of the instruction and utilized the classroom to try to stay dry. The range facility was first rate and a great place to work an event. Instructors could not have been better or more cooperative.

Shooters ages ranged from 8 to 62 with lots of fathers and sons shooting together. Most of the students were first timers at Appleseed, so after shooting the Hits Count target, we started on the basics. The group worked hard and were very attentive. Our most inexperienced shooters, who couldn't hit many shots on the Red Coat target in the morning improved greatly on the Squares targets. Sadly, we did not get an AQT in on Saturday. In fact, we got so much rain that we couldn't complete the afternoon Hits Count target. We would have needed a canoe to get to the targets.

On Sunday we moved quickly through the review materials so we could get on the line as fast as possible. Since the group was so cooperative, we moved smoothly through our review and got right to shooting. Congratulations to everyone for working so hard. We managed 5 AQTs by the end of the day. Sadly, no one made score but several were very close and will probably do it on their next Appleseed.

The weekend went well and everyone was very dedicated. All shooters should feel good about the improvements that they made. A big thank you to the fantastic crew of instructors. Everyone did a wonderful job and the teamwork was amazing.  Check out some pictures at the following link.

Thanks to all.
