Please join me in welcoming Libero to the North Carolina cadre.


She joins her sister Bolt is already and IIT and her dad, Tarheel who is working his way through the SBIT process.


In her spare time, when she is not dry firing, she enjoys playing volleyball, saxophone and is on her schools track team.

Proud dad here. Libero's older sister, Bolt, shot her qualifying score just before her 15th birthday. That was plenty impressive to me, but of course little sister got the itch early and knocked it out at age 13. I can report that it was not a smooth path ... she overcame illness and frustration along with all the fun spread out over four weekend events to become a riflewoman.

I'm very happy for Libero and the program. I'm also extremely grateful to all the Appleseed instructors and fellow shooters who provided her lots of support and kindness all while holding her to the same high expectations we expect of every shooter regardless of age or gender. I believe she'll be a strong instructor, and that's largely thanks to the superb role models she has at every Appleseed event.
