My deepest and most profound gratitude to the Shooters who came out for the event.
I want to extend our most heart-felt gratitude to Walker County Sheriff Nick Smith.  The range is well maintained and was "groomed" the day prior to our event. We have held another event there and have more scheduled.
The Instructor crew arrived around 7:00ish and worked to set up the range. We held our instructor meeting around 0745. Our outstanding Shooters started arriving at 0800.
We were blessed that the WCSD has an air-conditioned trailer on site. AnthonyB gave a rousing recount of the First Strike!  We rolled right into safety and pistol familiarization, then we brought pistols to the line.  Our first 13 rounds were on a Hits Count/Red Coat target.  On the range we learned about proper grip of the pistol, chamber checking, Isosceles stance, low ready centerline index, 6 Steps of firing a shot and natural point of aim.  At lunch, Major Tom regaled us with the Second Strike.  Well done, Sir!
We practiced each block with dry fire and live ammo exercises. After the practical exercises, we proceeded to the PQTs.  We took a break from PQTs for the Third Strike.  Peace and Love stepped up and did a great job with the story!
We had 3 out of the 11 qualify as Pistoleer™™!  Major Tom was shooting tremendously!  He qualified Distinguished with a score of 242. Alex and Peace and Love also qualified Expert! The improvement for all Shooters was fantastic.  Everyone was shooting very well.
I enjoyed meeting all the Shooters! What an amazing group of people. We had students with widely varying amounts of experience. The best days of my life are this. It's because of you Shooters. Thank you.
 
I can't possibly express my gratitude adequately to GTEngineer, AnthonyB, Peace and Love and Honda Hondo for all their efforts. They all have my undying love and respect.

It was a great event indeed! Thanks to all the instructors for putting on a fantastic shoot and providing awesome instruction.
