Twelve intrepid participants gathered at Southern Minnesota Sportsmen Club on June 8-9 to learn more about themselves and how to be better marksman with their pistols.  Weather started rainy but soon turned to beautiful June Minnesota weather.  We set about learning grip, stance, six steps of firing the shot, and NPOA.  We then set about using those skills and refining them.

On Saturday afternoon we were able to shoot two PQTs - with Kevin scoring a 233 on his first attempt and earning his Pistoleer™ badge.  He was soon joined by Jay on the second of the day. The hits count on Saturday evening showed significant improvements.

Sunday started with review sessions of the safety rules, safe pistol, grip / stance / 6-steps, etc.  While the students were fresh, we shot our first PQT of the day.  We added Jim with a 234 and Janet with a 218 as new Pistoleer™s.  We continued to review, run drills and shoot PQTs.  At the end of the event we had the following Pistoleer™s with their best scores:

Kevin - 233
Jay - 231
Jim - 234 (22lr) 210 with a 1911.
Janet - 236 (putting in her best score on the last PQT of the event)
Steve - 213
Mike S - 230
Alyssa - 214
Christian - 214

Well Done!

Along the way we told our heritage and history and enjoyed the time on the range.

For those that did not make it, keep at it and you will continue to make progress.

Again - Well done to each and every one of you.  It was a joy meeting you and spending time with my fellow patriots.
