What a great weekend we had at the South Kent Sportsman's Club. We had 14 amazing people come out to help us celebrate our heritage while improving their marksmanship. All the shooters stayed in good spirts all weekend even while enduring 84 degree temperatures both days. The improvement of all the shooters over the weekend was just amazing, you could tell they were drinking as much from the firehose as they could. Congratulations to Rick for finally hitting that Rifleman score. James, Esther and Ben were getting really close with scores reaching 190+. I'm sure that with a little more practice all the shooters from this weekend will be seeing those scores soon.

Thank you to all the instructors that came to help out at this event. You guys definitely made the weekend fun and enjoyable for all the shooters. The care and attention given to all the shooters was absolutely phenomenal. A shoot boss couldn't of asked for a better group of instructors for this event.

Also a big thank you to the South Kent Sportsman's Club for hosting the event, and for their continued support of the program. The range is an amazing place to hold an event.

Now I know there were some pictures taken so let get them up for all to enjoy.

To all the shooters, thank you for coming out! Thank you double for taking to heart the safety rules, that unexpected ceasefire was well executed. I had a blast watching all of you make great improvements this weekend and I hope to see you all on the range again soon! Keep practicing what you learned, and keep in mind many of the exercises we covered can be practiced without even firing a round! Transitions, magazine changes, NPOA and carding your sights can all be done with an empty rifle and a target.

To the crew, it was a blast as always, I love hanging out with you guys! Thanks Copperhead for clearing the line, and Starlet for modeling and scoring, Click and Fidget for the mentoring. See you guys soon!

What an exciting weekend it was! Surrounded by an incredible bunch of students and instructors who powered through the scorching, parched conditions with unwavering enthusiasm. The relentless dry heat and swirling sand might've felt more like a desert expedition than a range outing in Michigan, but that didn't deter our spirits one bit. (Though a few shooters caught a nap in the shade.)

Richard, you're an absolute legend for clinching that rifleman status, and Misty, you're right on his heels – let's get you both into the cadre, it'll be fantastic!

Steven K, your resilience is inspiring – you're on the brink of something incredible, keep that momentum going strong!

Wesley, a huge shoutout for tackling that red coat challenge like a boss on Sunday afternoon and clearing the red coat, you didn't even need the help of your uncle!

Massive gratitude to Niall, Matt, and Xavier for stepping up and coming together it was great to have you on the line.

Seth, Jennifer, Steven M, Esther, and James – your progress over the weekend was nothing short of remarkable, keep honing those skills with dedication and practice.

Benjamin, major props for bringing your boys along, dry fire practice – it's the key to mastery! See you next time! 😊

Can't wait to reunite with you all at another event soon! Let's keep this energy and camaraderie alive!
