It was a perfect weekend at the Cardinal Shooing Center for pistol clinic.

We had 6 eager students join us wanting to earn a Pistoleer™ patch. Of the group of 6, only one had previously earned a Pistoleer™ patch. Of the students, we had a father with his 2 sons join us. 

We dove right in on Saturday morning and got to work on fundamentals and drills. To start the weekend, we shot the hits count target and had 2 clear the targets right out the gate! Congratulations Dave and Jeff! By the end of Saturday 5 of our 6 students had earned Pistoleer™ scores! Mike requalified with a 226, then we had new Pistoleer™s of John with 223, Dave 215, Jeff 223 and Tommy 218.

Sunday started a bit chillier than Saturday but everyone returned, eager to learn. We started with some drills after the hits count target then started on PQT's. Our qualifiers from Saturday continued to reflect Pistoleer™ scores despite several difficulties on Sunday with misfires and failure to feeds. We had our last student looking qualify as Pistoleer™, and our second to last PQT, Bob joined his sons as a Pistoleer™ with 216! It was a great accomplishment! There was even a chance for our own Jiminbolivar to shoot one PQT and requalify with a 224! He didn't shoot any other time during the event!

At the end of the weekend, we had 100% Pistoleer™ scores, and Dave cleared every hits count target for the weekend! Jeff wasn't far behind him, he cleared 3 of the 4 hits count targets during the weekend.

Congratulations to all for an accomplished weekend! You were a great group to work with, we look forward to having you all back!

Father and sons all got their patch. Dad waited until the very end to keep us all in suspense....

Wow! 100% earning their patch is incredible! I would have loved to be there to see all those patches being earned!
