10 shooters joined us the Barren River Rod & Gun Club in Glasgow KY to learn about the true events of April 19, 1775. We added in some rifle marksmanship instruction as well  O0

Many thanks to the staff at Barren River Rod & Gun Club! They graciously waived the range fees for our participants and we were allowed to use their newest range. It is rimfire only, fully covered, spacious and wired for electricity! As a bonus, it is capable for our KD exercise (which makes this SB want to have an event there each month!)

We had a great mix of ages on the line and after the morning hits count target we knew we had work to do. The students were attentive and absorbed the instruction well - and the afternoon hits count target showed impressive improvement.

Sunday we went right back to work. The students performed the Ball & Dummy exercise and learned about mastering the Rifleman's Quarter Mile. After shooting out to 100 yards they learned the importance of returning to zero as well.

Andrew requalified with a high score of 235 and Katrina scored Rifleman at her first event with a 217! All the shooters improved over the weekend and with the early sunsets this time of year we were able to get all the instruction in.

Many thanks to the dedicated cadre for making this a successful event. Each travelled rather far to make this work and their commitment to the mission is appreciated.

Griffen was quite the shutterbug this weekend (along with superb coaching!)

Palousie joined us on Sunday and Maximum Ordinate and Cleveland thanked her with an Appleseed coin for her years of service in the Southeast Region and as Deputy TN State Coordinator. She is taking her boundless energy to North Dakota but I suspect we will see her in these parts again.

The difference between a novice and a master: the novice does it until they get it right. The master does it until they can't get it wrong.

I enjoyed joining this group, even for just a day. Find the link to the photos below. Please let me know if it doesn't work!

On behalf of the club, thanks to everyone!
The students all appeared to enjoy their days.
We enjoyed the entire Appleseed training corps and hope to be able to conduct more events in the future.
