11 Shooters joined Project Appleseed at the Albuquerque Shooting Part in New Mexico.  It was great weather with cool temperatures and calm wind in the morning and warming up to the mid 70's and less wind than normal in the afternoon.  The Regional Airport next to the range reported winds less than 10 MPH for the weekend. The Albuquerque Cadre led the Shooters through the safety brief and on to more leaning.  Saturday afternoon the shooters spirit was slowing down.  To increase spirits we had a fun shooting exercise. 10 Shooters took aim at a Hits count and the goal was 32 out of 50 hits in the red and the Shoot Boss would bake Peach Cobbler for them.  The Shooters perked up and prepared a Magazine of 5.  At the end of the day the Shoot Boss left the student not knowing if they earned the reward. 

Sunday started with Peach Cobbler; Many Shooters went back for seconds.  The shooters got 39/50 in the red.  A well-balanced Breakfast if I ever saw one…  The Shooters were interested in learning the History and the Marksmanship taught.  The event went smooth, and we were able to get a total of 4 AQT's in on Sunday which was great due to the short shooting hours available at this range.  We ended the weekend with one new Rifleman, Congratulation to Santos.  Felix shot a 224 from a Bipod.
