OMG Y'ALL -- This was a great weekend!!

The largest Ladyseed in Florida history!  We had 24 ladies ranging in age from 13 to 74 with experience levels from beginner to proficient.  AND 7 chapters of AG&AG represented!!  Our youngster, a very sharp girl who did amazing, is a member of the Civil Air Patrol.  All ladies showed up with teachable attitudes.  After a great first strike by Cody, and the Safety Briefing, the hits count target showed that we had some work to do.  All of the ladies were attentive and determined to improve their marksmanship.

Although the weather was beautiful, rain on previous days forced us to move our 24 ladies to a 15-lane range, so we improvised and shot in relays.  It worked out great!  In fact, the ladies liked having the extra time between strings of fire to prep their magazines, hydrate, dehydrate, etc.

At lunch time, Alarm Lister presented Strike 2, and then we got back to work.  The group worked really hard and we kept hearing comments ike, "Boy, this really works!"  Apparently, it does, as told by the increase in scores on the AQT.  Our most inexperienced shooter, who couldn't hit the Red Coat target Sat morning, improved greatly on the AQT.

MyNameIsEarl gave Strike 3 and we finished up the day having completed stages 1, 2 and 3 of the AQT, and of course the Hits Count target, which showed significant improvment from the am Hits Count Target.

Sunday morning the ladies listened intently as Gunjunkie gave a touching rendition of the story of Thomas Paine and the effect that his "American Crisis" had on George Washington and his men.  We had to break out the Kleenex after that!

After review of all the basics and safety, and confirming zeros, we finished up the AQT from Saturday, shooting stage four.  We than ran some drills and shot some more AQTs with great results!  Everyone was very dedicated and progress was made by all.  All shooters should feel good about the improvement in their performance!

To reward everyone for their hard work, three of our instructors demo'd the rapid fire AQT and then those shooters brave enough to make an attempt shot a rapid fire AQT to end the shooting of the day - besides the Hits Count, which was proof of all the great progress made.  Congrats to Cheri for clearing the Hits Count target!!

Thanks to all the instructors.  It was the first time for most of us to shoot relays, and, it all ran very smoothly once we worked out the kinks and got a rhythm.

CONGRATS to Epic Quilter on earning her Red Hat and also to our four new Orange Hats (Greatchen, Diane, Sharon and Michelle) and one new Blue Hat (Cheryl)!!!!  What a weekend.  AND Wendy completeted her SBIT2.  Wendy is going to be (IS) a great SB.  I only wish I could be half as organized and on top of things as she is.  We also had several IITs promote!  It was a very productive weekend!!

Thanks to the Port Malabar Rifle and Pistol Club for their continued support!  We cannot thank them enough for their ongoing support and allowing us to use their beautiful range!!

Also, a very special Thank you to the NRA Foundation for supplying ammo, mats, rifles, eye and ear protection for our shooters.  Without this, this event would not have been the huge success that it was.

Pictures to follow -- I promise!

As an IIT this was my first Ladyseed event and it was a fantastic one.

The weather was fantastic, the ladies had a great attitude and it was just plain fun with a lot of improvement over the two days.

Congrats to Debbie, the 4 new Orange Hats and the new Blue hat, I look forward to working with you all.

Finally I have to say Kim, that despite the occasional stink eye &) (which was well deserved) both you Wendy did a fantastic job running the event.
I look forward to supporting the next event in 2024.

Louie Louie -- I don't think I ever gave you the official stink eye -- that was just a demonstration  **) **)

All in all a great bunch of people. Congratulations to all who were promoted and to our new Orange and Blue Hats. I can't wait to work with these people again.

Thank again to all.

Some pictures from the weekend and celebrations of this record breaking Ladyseed.

This was an awesome event with some fantastic ladies. Many chapters of a girl and a gun were represented and everyone came to learn. It is always a pleasure working with like minded folks and these ladies made us all feel that our time was well spent. If you never attended an event with AG&AG, do so, they are great to work with and you will leave knowing your work is appreciated.
Outstanding job by all that received that coveted rifleman's patch, or rifle-woman's patch and congratulations to all the new hats I look forward to working with you on the Appleseed trail.
Congratulations Epic Quilter on your new Red hat, great job.
