What a perfect weekend! A full line of families and friends came to the Pikes Peak Gun Club to learn about the events of April 19th, 1775 and American marksmanship. Saturday morning a light rain fell, but in this parched country no one complained. Along with sharing some history, we moved through sling usage, steady hold factors, the six steps to firing the shot and natural point of aim before lunch. Strikes one and two were told during lunch and then we were back on the firing line. After some more instruction, dry fire drills and the telling of the third strike we were able to squeeze in an AQT. Sunday the learning continued with discussion on the finer points of marksmanship, drills, DOM stories and AQTs. Prior to the event, Dion researched Samuel Whittemore and delivered the DOM story at lunch!

Chris, Lonnie, Mike and Luke earned Rifleman patches. These shooters shot multiple qualifying scores and Chris earned his Distinguished patch with a 240! The whole line saw huge gains in their scores over the weekend. We saw AQT scores double and a couple more of the shooters were in the hunt for a Rifleman patch.

Along with the making of Riflemen, the word of Liberty was spread at Pikes Peak Gun Club.
