A great weather weekend by Lake Erie and our multi state shooters took advantage.  Our shooters from Indiana, east central Ohio, Sandusky and Oregon were anxious to know what the Appleseed Pistol Clinic was all about.  Only two shooters had previously attended an Appleseed.  Of our 7 shooters 2 had experience and the remainder were new to pistol shooting.  By the end of the first day, they showed huge improvement.  Oh, I failed to mention, our shooters line was made up of two male shooters and 5 female shooters.

We worked thru grip, stance, trigger press with many rounds of practice.  Steady hold: fundamentals, ball & dummy more practice that led up to the first trial PQT that showed they were getting prepared for real PQT.
Sunday morning arrived with reviews & squares.  Unfortunately, the fairy dust did not appear overnight to help the pistols perform well.  Our sighters showed we had some gun smithing to do before proceeding, but we overcame the obstacles.

Central Ohio, Josh, showed the way first PQT with a 219, which he didn't stop there for the remaining 7 PQT he shot mid 200's with a high of 230.  He was our first Pistoleer™ of the day.

Our ladies group progressed from 90's to 209 thru the remainder of the PQT.  They too had to overcome mechanical issues but stayed with the task of becoming a marksman.  Just could not turn the corner, but, Kassie, 205, Kennedie 206, Mandy 180, G 175 and Erin 209 showed they knew the way. Only one of the ladies had experience before today the others had shot but considered themselves as beginners, No longer they know the way.

Our most senior shooter form Indiana was plagued with mechanical issues and finally overcame it all on the very last PQT, Mark posted a 223 to get his Pistoleer™ patch.

Congratulations to our Pistoleer™'s and to our entire group of pistol shooters.  It was a pleasure to work with all of you.

It was an awesome weekend.

Just having the opportunity to watch two young ladies, Kennedie and Ernie ( Erin) progress to scores of 206 and 209 respectively, was amazing  . . .  And the fact that they did it with Iron sights at their very 1st Appleseed Pistol Clinic, was nothing short of spectacular !

Congratulations to all seven shooters as they demonstrated persistence and made great progress allweekend.

Sorry to the participants for the delay in posting these pictures.

This was a fabulous group of shooters who worked their butts off to improve over the two days we were all together. Major improvement was evident by the end of the class on Sunday.  It's always rewarding when participants shoot a qualifying score.  It's more rewarding for me when I can help a new shooter who can barely hit the targets on the first Red Coat end up only a few points short of earning their Pistoleer™ patch at the end of day two.

Congratulations to ALL the attendees at the Wolf Creek Pistol Class on July 30 and 31, 2022.

First of many qualifying targets for Josh.

First Red Coat for Erin - 4 hits.  Last Red Coat for Erin - 12 hits and just barely missed the button. :~
