A heartfelt thank-you is due both Bob Vollman for letting Appleseed use his ranch and to the Deininger Clan: out of 4 Instructors on the line...4 were related!
The Vollman Ranch range is about nine miles from I-25, but I swear I drove 19 miles before I got there! It was a beautiful sight to finally see Appleseed flags aflying.   Some one might have mentioned the lone tree as a mile marker...
Erich had gone over the night before and mowed the range, which made it much nicer and safer from ignition (grass was pretty dry).

The shooters were diligent and enthusiastic and progressed very well.  No Rifleman scores.
But Melissa went from low 100s to 200 -  she is right there!
Ava was a first-time Appleseeder and ended up with a 179.
Mike was an experienced shooter, but learned how difficult the 4th stage was with a 2MOA red dot!  He was right up there with Ava.
Good shooting, all of you.  We expect Rifleman scores next time!

The weather cooperated with no thunderstorms and no great winds.

It was a real pleasure to watch Nik and Max - as the younger generation - help out Barb and Erich (the "old" folks).  Thank you all.

A great time with great folks - thanks to all of you for participating.

Barb and Mike have pics to post!!

Yes indeed, many thanks to Bob Vollman and sons Brady and Jared for letting us use their place! We opened the valve on the firehose wide early on; then shooting commenced with nearly 800 rounds per shooter sent downrange! The ladies, Melissa and Avra saw great improvement. Morale soared as they knocked on the door- 200, 179 respectively. I'm sending Mike a proper sling for Christmas....it's bound to help. Gary Reeves, having attended an AS previously but being unable to shoot currently because of an eye problem came to observe on Saturday. Gary, a Navy vet has long expressed an interest in helping AS. Please welcome our new Blue Hat to the program. Thanks to Max for bringing tables, canopies etc. Thanks to all instructors for traveling to help make another great Appleseed. Wildman57
