We had a great little one-day Appleseed at the Tri-City Gun Club in Norman yesterday… it was only in the 90s instead of the 100s like it was for the previous couple weeks, so I suppose we caught a break.  It still made for some sweaty conditions, and I'm proud to say that all 19 shooters persisted through the whole day with no one leaving early.  That included 5 kids of various ages who all had great attitudes.  We had one Rifleman patch awarded to a first-time attendee with a 216… shooting a center fire no less.  Extremely well done Daniel.  We hope to see you again.  Captain joined the festivities - it's always a pleasure to host our Regional Coordinator.  We're fortunate to have a stand-up leader with a true passion and singular focus on the mission as our interface with the national organization.  I was extremely pleased to promote DFBcoach to Instructor at the meal following the event!  He put in a lot of work, and it showed.  I am also pleased to promote pballer2oo7 to Instructor!  I am fortunate to have a really great crew here in Oklahoma.  Appleseed is coming back strong in our great state!

Hot and HOTTER! I got a bit overheated, but I still had FUN! Having the young people there really makes for a rewarding experience, it gives me faith in people again! The parents should be very proud, a great example of how education, discipline, love, and respect is the recipe for upstanding, outstanding citizens.
If you are not willing to fight for what is right, how can you expect others to fight for you?

Thanks for another excellent Appleseed!  I was worried my recent shoulder surgery was going to interfere with my ability to shoot, and i started off a little shaky.  However, with persistence and patience, by the end of the day i was shooting slightly better than I had before my
surgery.  Looking forward to the October event, and earning that Rifleman qualification!  I am confident that daily NPOA practice will get these groups tightened up.

It was great to see so many people, especially the young ones, getting out to learn about history and marksmanship.  It is always great to see familiar faces, too.  Had a great time, can't wait to go again!

And thank you Vieja Loca for that yummy carrot cake!
