Melbourne Trail Life Scouts joined us at Port Malabar Rifle & Pistol Club in Palm Bay, FL for their first rifle clinic. Nine scouts and six parents attended. Only three had been to one prior event. Saturday started off cold and windy then the monsoon struck. We were forced to cease fire and clear the line because nobody could hear commands while the firing line quickly flooded. After making the line safe and casing the rifles we broke for lunch and some history followed by the KD lecture. IAO! We didn't meet our learning objectives on Saturday but got back on track Sunday. Everyone made steady progress resulting in one Sharpshooter and seven Marksmen. We look forward to seeing Trail Life Scouts regularly on our line.
