This was a fantastic weekend with awesome weather, actually kinda warm for December but nice. All in attendance were eager to learn, so after some great American history we got down to business. The Saturday started a little slow but picked up pace as the day went on and by the end we were moving right along. Having only four shooters return on Sunday gave some of the instructors an opportunity to spend a little time behind their rifles and that is always a good thing. Everyone made progress with some reaching personal goals and all having fun.
Sharmella did exceptionally well as a first time rifle shooter and Christine and William (Bill) both returning Appleseeders scored a new personal best. Hope to see you all back next year with a friend or two.

A big thanks to all the instructors, Just Kim, Dragon, Dee Dee, Patriot 1775, Stan the Man, Wacky and Mrs Wacky, Lucky Lori and Engineer Shooting.
A special thanks to Engineer shooting for the outstanding history. He spends more time then anyone I know gathering the facts of our history and a better presentation I have yet to see.
Hopefully someone has some pictures.

This was a great event!  Every one of the shooters did an amazing job!  Christine - thanks for bringing out Sharmella -- you both did great!  Christine is SO close to making riflewoman -- it is definitely in your near future -- better hurry though, because Sharmella is hot on your heels  :snipersmi

All the guys also did a great job -- Budd was bound and determined to use his late father's tube-fed rifle -- it was a beautiful rifle - and he came prepared with speed-loaders -- eventually, he will score with that rifle.  Denny also showed up with a piece of history his father-in-laws Winchester -- it's always nice to see these old "family" rifles come out.

Bill - congrats on your amazing shooting -- Bill has some physical issues with the prone position and has amazing sitting and standing positions -- I look for Bill to score very soon.

The weather this weekend was AMAZING -- for those of us who enjoy the warmer weather.

All of the instructors did an amazing job and were a pleasure to work with.  Chuck did a great job of keeping the shoot on track.  It was just all-around a great shoot!

I LOVE THIS STUFF!!!!
It's not about perfection -- it's about progress!!

I LOVE this stuff!

"Perhaps you and I have lived with this miracle too long to be properly appreciative. Freedom is a fragile thing and is never more than one generation away from extinction. It is not ours by inheritance; it must be fought for and defended constantly by each generation, for it comes only once to a people. Those who have known freedom and then lost it have never known it again" Ronald Reagan

Wonderful weekend, eager students, great instructors.  I had a blast, especially with the Kentucky Long rifle!!!  Look forward to seeing you in March and April.
