Wow what a great shoot. Weather on Saturday was one of the best days of the year. Perfect shooting weather. We ended up with a crowd of 18 shooters on Saturday. We were well staffed and lots of 1 on 1 help was available to the shooters. Instructors were on their game with 6 new Rifleman patches awarded and 2 requalification. Congrats to Seth (aka The Dawdler) had earned his Rifleman with a scope and requalified this shoot with Tech sights. Moses and Henry represented the youth with their marksmanship. While Joe and Mark proved once again that old guys rock. George and Helen, our border raiders from Nebraska both scored 216 for their respective patches, eliminating any arguments on the way home.

It was also a great day for the Iowa cadre. Chris (Appleseed Dad) tested for his Red Hat and was kept on his toes. His test included him giving the KD talk over lunch. He found out at about 11 AM he was doing that and was line boss at the time. His only prep time was while eating. Chris and family are a large part of our cadre. With Seth (The Dawdler) wanting his orange hat that makes 7 instructors in the family.

Thanks so much Mike, Chris and the entire team that supported and taught us through this event! Helen and I had a ball and learned a lot through the experience. Chris's daughter, Ashlyn, was especially helpful to us and has quite an amazing way about her that also contributed to her being a terrific story teller!  Thank you Ashlyn!!

Wow! Six new Rifleman and 8 total shooting that expert score! Sounds like a great event with some fine shooting.
