Once again IITs in Ohio showed their passion for improving their skills by coming to two separate one-day mini-IBCs over the weekend of May 15-16 in Dayton.  The two-day IBC originally scheduled for March had to be postponed until October and these events were scheduled as an alternative way to start the season.  The one-day format meant we were pressed for time, but these folks showed up ready to put in the work.  The day started with discussion of "all things Appleseed" before heading into demo and practice of safety briefings, sling use, six steps, and all 3 positions.  During lunch we discussed preparing for telling history and everyone presented a DOM they had prepared before the IBC.  The days were jam packed but I couldn't have been more proud of the effort everyone put in.
