I am not a champion for the handling of this type of setup for the Appleseed/CMP course of fire
I recently took my savage target 22 bolt rifle and mounted it in a allow chassis with a AR 15 type of stock  (Luth) - very accurate from sandbags, but I found it difficult to use in other positions compared to a traditional stock configuration. The B22 is a savage 22 cal. precision bolt rifle.

Which chassis?

There are definitely chassis out there which work very well for PRS/NRL type positional shooting, but not so well for three position type shooting.  I don't think people are building a lot of three-position-specific stocks for savage rimfire actions out there.  For a r700 or tikka t1x footprint, you can get a tubb2000 or eliseo chassis, and those work super well for three position.  (But I don't know about you, I don't want to spend $1500+ for a rimfire chassis hahaha)

The luth AR buttstock itself is fine for three position.  Not great, but not terrible.
