I have several folks ask about the pants (and kneepads) I wear.   I wear these:

I bought 2 pairs, but I am still on my first pair after 70 events.  These are REALLY DURABLE and the kneepads are cushy enough to kneel on concrete.  I will say for these pants, the kneepad sizing is wrong.  If you wear 36 waist, order large knee pads. I have a set of medium kneepads that I would sell.  I think I used them one event and decided to order the next size up.

Here's what they look like after 3.5 years.  The knee pad slots on the outside are my favorite part of the pants.  The large loop on the right side is my second favorite part.  I attach a large carabiner on it to hold my earmuffs.  Also, there are pockets right above each knee that is very suitable to hold a cell phone on your trigger side.  While some may consider them less "professional-looking" than 511 or plain khakis, I think they are the pants best suited for Project Appleseed.  YMMV

They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety.
Benjamin Franklin, 1775

"A free people ought not only to be armed, but disciplined; to which end a uniform and well-digested plan is requisite; and their safety and interest require that they should promote such manufactories as tend to render them independent of others for essential, particularly military, supplies."  George Washington 1790

"[T]o preserve liberty, it is essential that the whole body of the people always possess arms, and be taught alike, especially when young, how to use them…"

Thanks for the tip brother. I've put this on my wish list and maybe "Santa" will bring me a pair in a few weeks.  O0

Last evening, it occurred to me that when a defender of Liberty is called home, their load lands upon the shoulders of the defenders left behind. Just as the Founders did their duty for Liberty, every subsequent generation must continue their work lest Liberty perish. As there is no way for the remaining adults to take on the work of those that die, we must pass the ideals and duties on to the children. -PHenery
