Engineer shooting

It's a tradition on a Patriots day shoot at the Isaac Davis Range to have the Instructors shoot first. To make things hard, Red Coats were posted backwards. I've heard the question a few times "they talk a good game but can they shoot?" The cleared Red Coats shot posted backwards proves that. Once again all the students left with Rifleman patches, that's the results of the excellent instructors.

With all the local restaurant s closed the instructor dinner was held on the range. Lori donated a bakers dozen filet mignons, Joe and Sean made a potato, salad and fresh corn run. Border raider Jim was salad chef. The dinner was better than any restaurant and the company was excellent.

What a great weekend it turned out to be.  Almost everybody who  signed up    showed up    & had fun shooting. The dinner was excellent, thank you everyone who helped & took care of making it happen.  What a great picture of masked people. The masks are all unique & interesting.

Nothing in the world can take the place of Persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan 'Press On' has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race.

How do you shoot the redcoat backwards? You can't see the targets at all?

I love the smell of civil disobedience in the air.  ;D
Sounds like y'all had a great time.
Keep doing what you're doing. I hope to be able to join you later this year.

While I have no idea how it is properly done, you can see the redcoats if the target is wet.

They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety.
Benjamin Franklin, 1775

"A free people ought not only to be armed, but disciplined; to which end a uniform and well-digested plan is requisite; and their safety and interest require that they should promote such manufactories as tend to render them independent of others for essential, particularly military, supplies."  George Washington 1790

Some people outline the redcoats - I personally just put a small dot - this year my comment once I got into position was, I wish I would've made my dot a little bigger - that's OK - still cleared it.  ClaireBear forgot to dot her Morgan's shingle and still cleared the thing -- way to go Claire!!!
It's not about perfection -- it's about progress!!

I LOVE this stuff!

"Perhaps you and I have lived with this miracle too long to be properly appreciative. Freedom is a fragile thing and is never more than one generation away from extinction. It is not ours by inheritance; it must be fought for and defended constantly by each generation, for it comes only once to a people. Those who have known freedom and then lost it have never known it again" Ronald Reagan
