As most everyone knows, northeastern Nebraska in particular, and other areas of the state affected by the blizzard Ulmer and associated flooding did not prevent six of the state's Appleseed instructors from attending the IBC held in Lincoln this past weekend.  It was good to see old friends Toby and Eric and to meet Jeff, Dennis and Jeremy, instructors from the eastern end of the state.  We had two good days of reviewing AS procedures, discussing methods, kicking around different topics, and sharing ideas for improving our instruction at weekend events.  I always feel that I have picked up some new piece of info at every event I attend that keeps it interesting and I hope that my fellow instructors feel the same way.

Special thanks to Melisa for helping to organize this event, and to Toby for helping Melisa (!), and for arranging for the donated use of Alpha's conference room.  We had the opportunity to meet Matt briefly and thank him for allowing us to gather at his business.

Thanks also to all of you who attended for bringing all of the good chow-boy, if I ate like that all of the time, I am sure I would need to seek help from Weight-Watchers!!!!!!
When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them,  and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that is the beginning of the end of any nation.

The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.

You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity by legislating the wealthy out of prosperity.
