Well, the weather could have been worse, but with the muddy clay on the range it made for a challenging couple of days. The weather kept about half of signed-up attendees away, but true Riflemen persevere! The attitudes of those who attended, however, were fantastic! Hey, where else can you play in the mud AND shoot firearms SAFELY :)??

We had one already-qualified Rifleman attend (Shawn), and he requalified several times throughout the day. He brought his daughter (Kiera), who also attended a KD with us in the fall, and she continued to improve as well. We love to see families shoot together!

One unfortunate shooter (darn it, Andy :() scored a 209! Uggggh! Every instructor looked at it, and, had he not had a failure to fire on stage 3, that one round would have put him over the top! He's definitely coming back! Keep at it, Andy!

Even though the weather made it extremely challenging, we still managed to complete ten AQTs.

We also had one individual (not shooting) take a blue hat! She had been to a couple of shoots with her husband, Bill, who is an orange hat, and she said she wanted to help. Thanks, Susan! Your help scoring allowed us to concentrate on the shooters! Welcome!

So, I want to thank all of the participants: Jon, Derek, Andy, Shawn, Dan, and Kiera. THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!

We had a great time, like always.  Looking forward to the KD event in April.

Ten??  That's awesome!  We managed 8, and I thought that was pretty darn good, but you just blew me away

Traci,
We don't mess around over here  **)! The shooters caught on to everything pretty fast. They just needed to practice with guidance. Helps when that happens.

I think I still have a bit on mud on my shooting mat from the last time I was up there.

Sounds like you all had a fine event.

We did! I just wish we'd have gotten Andy over the top!  :wb:
