We've sent the info below to shooters in the Tennessee Valley. 

The Army has transferred eight thousand M1911/M1911A1 pistols to the CMP.  The CMP is getting them ready for sale to the public.  There will be some additional paperwork involved to purchase one and we can assist.

All prospective buyers, even long time CMP customers, will be required to submit all new qualifying paperwork to purchase a 1911.  Aside from order forms, you'll need three basic things to order:


  • Proof of marksmanship training
  • Membership in an CMP-affiliated organization
  • Proof of citizenship

We can help with the first two:

1.  Proof of Marksmanship Instruction.  The shoot boss for your event can provide this.  (If you attended in Alabama, please contact me through PM).
2.  Membership in an CMP-affiliated organization:  Project Appleseed is a CMP affiliated organization.  Our memberships are $20/year and qualify you to purchase from the CMP.  MULTI-YEAR Memberships are available!
