Appleseed returns to Northern Louisiana after a bit of an absence. We couldn't have ask for better weather or finer Patriots on the line. I hope they enjoyed the History and Instruction as much as we did presenting it.

It was our first trip to the Bodcau range in Shreveport/Bossier City area. Our newest Red Hat wbridgeman and I drove in from the New Orleans area and was met by a local Orange hat, Johnny. Johnny was well acquainted with the range facilities and had us setup and ready for the shooters in record time.

It was obvious each of the shooters had much knowledge and experience behind a rifle. Chris had the ability to produce almost one ragged hole groups in standing and turned in what seemed like 50pt clean first stage standing target almost every time...  Brad the youngest man in our group proved to be enthusiastic, was always first on the line and ready to go. Brad also came to the Appleseed exhibiting skills behind a rifle.  However, to their credit these shooters very quickly surrendered to the process, work hard and made great progress. I was hoping that one or both of these men would make Rifleman but we just hit that endurance limit. I have no doubt, their next Appleseed they will have what it takes to join the rifleman ranks.

Ed and Jason were hard at it too and not far off the pace, there was much involvement over the 2 days in these two gentleman. They are well on their way. It is always an honor and a pleasure to have a skilled group of men show up, work so intensely, and trust us to enough to improve their shooting abilities.

This was my first Appleseed event.  I had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed myself.  I REALLY appreciate the the efforts of the instructors in volunteering their time to help us become better marksmen and citizens.  I find it easy to setup on my dining room table (sitting w sling) and sight in on pine cones on trees in my front yard, practicing smooth trigger operation.  (You can do this in the country w NO nosy neighbors!)

I live fire w Appleseed targets every couple of weeks practicing what I learned to improve accuracy and speed.

THANKS !!
