Engineer shooting

With an average age of only 26 it was a young group, which this gray haired Instructor liked. John came with son Thomas, John shooting his Garand a 98 on slow prone! O0

Caleb only the second active duty member I've had the privilege to award a patch to, well done Marine, I see an Orange hat in the future.

Rosemary, Matthew and Lydia all made great progress.

Our local boots on the ground Alchemist, had to work and was greatly missed. Thanks go to the staff of AdobeWallsOfFla, Lucky Lori, and Blackfog.  O0 O0

Checking in with my first post on the forum to say thank you to the cadre who came out to run the shoot for us and help me earn my first patch! I'm looking forward to continuing to improve my shooting and start working towards the privilege of wearing a red hat!

I sensed that a displaced Hoosier Marine had somewhere scored Rifleman under a known Hoosier border-raiding Shoot Boss...

so I scoured the AARs until I happened upon this event in the Sunshine State!  ;)

Congrats, Caleb, and a howdy to Engineer shooting as well. Glad to hear everyone did well.

Did you guys get enough wind down there on Saturday?  :))

Hey ATM! Didn't know you were a shoot boss! I gotta do some snooping around and see who else I know on here...

Yeah, we had plenty of wind on Saturday. Kept us nice and cool out there in all that hot Sunshine  ;)

Wind was moving the target line up and down 3-4 inches, hard to shoot a one inch square in those conditions. Additional t posts quickly solved that problem.

mk2ja I've polished up a nice Orange hat for you.  >:D

I'd say I missed a good one, but there is no other kind. Really sorry to miss seeing a new rifleman minted and I know this instructor crew will make many more.

It sounds like another great shoot and I'm solid for December.

I'll see all you fine instructors at Hurlburt in a couple of weeks.
