Nine young American patriots joined fisherdawg, Taka222, 509gman, smokepole & Medicus for a most productive weekend of marksmanship and heritage.
Two new Rifle(Wo)men were qualified:
Fireweed with a score of 232 on Saturday -- she has applied the knowledge and skill from 3 previous Appleseed's here at the Majority Arms Range and burst through the 210 barrier with a remarkable AQT on Saturday.
Jessica put it all together on the last AQT of Sunday with a score of 217.  Seated works with practice, right?
Bailey, Kaydi, Sam, Daniel,  and Josh are all very close.  I hope you will join us again soon, apply your knowledge of the fundamentals which combined with persistance will allow you to achieve tthe Rifleman standard.
Heather -- you were new to all this and you came a long way.  Stick with it and you earn the Patch too.  I can't wait to hear White Cockade live! ;D
Catherine, you are a remarkable young lady.  Your energy and enthusiasm give me great hope for the future.
Stuart, Robin, Greg and all the parents -- thank you for sharing your childern with us.  It's an honor to instruct them
Well, we all stayed with it in rain, mud, and bugs.  Small stuff compared to what the Founders endured, right?
I look forward to seeing you again soon.
To my Instructors -- Thank You!

If men were angels, no government would be necessary. If angels were to govern men, neither external nor internal controls on government would be necessary. (James Madison)

"Young man, what we meant in going for those Redcoats was this: we always had governed ourselves and we always meant to. They didn't mean we should."
(Captain Levi Preston, of the Danvers militia, at age 91, remembering the day)

That it is an indispensable duty which we owe to God, our country, ourselves and posterity, by all lawful ways and means in our power to maintain, defend and preserve those civil and religious rights and liberties, for which many of our fathers fought, bled and died, and to hand them down entire to future generations.  Suffolk Resolves, September 9, 1774, attributed to Dr. Joseph Warren

A big thank you to fisherdawg, Taka222, 509gman, and Medicus for dedicating their weekend for us in Soldotna. Two newly minted Rifle (Wo)men and enthusiastic feedback from the others is encouraging. Keep up the good work!

Right back at you, smokepole.  The people I meet on the Appleseed line and the Instructors & Volunteers I get to work with are the best!
With humble gratitude,
