We had an outstanding cadre of 17 students at this Appleseed, of which 15 were new to the program. Even better, we had six young people, the youngest being seven, and one complete beginner. Despite the official event thermometer reaching 97 degrees, everyone not only persevered but rose to the challenge.
Jeff, Scott and CW all qualified for their first time as Riflemen; Katie re-qualified on Sunday. Even better, she stepped up and took an Orange Hat - Congratulations to all, and thank you for volunteering.
Great progress was made by everyone as shown by the consistently improved Redcoat scores. I hope everyone found this weekend to be a good introduction to the sport of rifle marksmanship, that you all take the opportunity to use dry fire practice to get your positions and NPOA solid, and that we will see you again on the line soon.
