What a great day to spend Appleseeding! Thank you to the 8 shooters that braved the snow and mud and thank you to the Nicolet Rifle Club for hosting us!

I saw much improvement just in this one day Appleseed! Keep up the good work! I hope you all can make it to the next Suamico Appleseed April 19-20!

Congratulations goes out to our two requalifying Rifleman, Dave and Josh!

And of course, we can't forget Wisconsin's Newest Rifleman, John! He score I believe a 229 and proved himself again on the next one with a 215!

Pics to come soon!

Well done Trisha, O0 and thanks to the 8 who came out and made it worth it. ;)

As the only other AS  representative at the event, I totally agree with Trisha. This event was originally scheduled three weeks earlier and was cancelled due to extremely hostile winter weather.  In retrospect, it was entirely the correct thing to do.

While it was a bright, clear, technically (chronologically) spring day, but there was still a crust of about 8-10 inches of snow on the firing line and a fairly stiff breeze most of the day.  While most of our attendees were more than dressed for the elements, of few were not, but nonetheless seemed unphased by them.

There were half scopes and half iron sights,  with two firing 10/22s with Tech-Sites. While most fired .22s two fired 03/A3 Springfields in .30/06 (Springfields not recommended for the reduced course, as thesights don't go down far enough!)  and one a CMP M-1 Garand (scored rifleman with it!)

An individual repeatedly experiencing jams with an auto loader with a variety of ammo was correctly diagnosed with a lack of proper hold factors.  When applying proven techniques, the rife performed flawlessly.

All in all, a great early season Appleseed! Huzzahs all around.

Josh...shooting yet another Rifleman score with his Garand! He was dressed for this weather...boating shoes and jeans soaked from the melting snow.

Great job everyone! And I hope to hear you all make it to another one or even see you at another one!

While others shiver, we deliver!  What a great day! Both the water & the sap running!

I wonder if the conditions rivaled those of the morning of April 19, 1775? A little touch of atmospheric realism.

I'm still thawing out, but enjoyed the day, and even moreso the patriots completely!

Let's do it again soon, say in three weeks, on April 19 & 20, 2014, same time, same place! We may even shoot a few colored eggs. O0

Fun Saturday. Still plenty fun for an experienced shooter like me. I got 226,221 with the garand with a miss on each, due to time. The Springfield was awesome except it could only hold a perfect group an inch high. Will be back next nicolet event. Hoots to the instructors for a good job. I have no complaints with anyone!!!  :pics: -Live on 30 Cal.s

Looks like a winter seed to me!
I love seeing a Rifleman holding a Garand. Congrats
