I can confirm that follow up has proven the rifle to not provide results with anything over 55 grainers.

Something's up with that rifle.

Either way, that investigation is for another person to post and is off-topic here.

I agree with SPQR that modeler should take the SBR and have a blast (haha  ;D ).  With an optic on the rifle as mentioned above, it should perform well.  I would be interested to see how the holdover markings on the scope reticle agree with reality as well.  I hope you will let us know after the shoot!

It would also mean that they would be bouncing "somewhere."

I watched as bullets penetrated the paper and first layer of coroplast, and then bounced back to land at my feet.

This is not complicated. My point is still "test your SBR and ammo together first." Test any rifle and ammo together before KD.

I have removed my email from my profile to stop the mod reports. If you need a Libertyseed scheduled you will now have to contact me on the Libertyseed forum.

I ordered the scope from work, assuming the warehouse has it in stock it should be here next week.

I'll be happy to report back. Kimber Custom was kind enough to invite me to shoot at the range in question later this month, and another member has invited me to shoot at a local range that I've been considering joining. I should be all kinds of set up by the time the KD shoot rolls around!
