In Connecticut, no one seemed to know anything about this happening last Wednesday night.  Simply put, it did not seem as if anyone was going to be doing anything this coming Saturday, anywhere near our state capital.

That's changed.  And not due to the actions of any of the state's firearms organizations.  One, told me that they would be looking into it last week Wednesday night.  People stepped up and did things.

While we will not know how or what happens until Saturday afternoon, plans were made; permit obtained; and the word is out.  I do not know if we will get a good turnout, but I will be at my state capital this Saturday.

If there will be another event for which I need to go back, I will.  The forces that seek to further limit my liberties will not stop or quit.

NES / GOAL / Comm2A have sort of congealed a commitment list for Boston - so far up to 250 at least.

Hoping for more (hint hint) :)

Another option is to participate in "gun appreciation day" this is Jan 19.
The idea is to wear a progun shirt, hat ,NRA stuff etc.

It is also recommended you visit a gun store, shooting range or other venue to support 2A

Of course if you can make a state Capitol at high noon it would be ideal .
Nothing in the world can take the place of Persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan 'Press On' has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race.

I would like to get information about the plans for Austin, Texas.  The only mention of this event that I have found links to a Facebook page that is inaccessable to those of us who don't have a Facebook account.  Would somebody pass on the details?

You know when the Harley Davidson owners wanted to repeal the helmet law in WI,  they staged a rally with thousands of riders, all without helmets.  Too many to arrest, and the police were not going there.

The helmet law was repealed.

There is a lesson here.

If you can, get to your state capital at 12:00 local time. Wear something shooting related, AS Sweat Shirt, NRA hat......

Get someone to go with you. This can not hurt, only help.

I was thinking more along the line of wearing a AR along with a suit and tie.  I don't own one, but I could borrow one from OG.

If anyone reads this and is not going to their state capitol for January 19th, think about it again.  Please.

Then think for a moment about if you could for a moment explain yourself to one of the men that took up a musket and left their home on April 19, 1775.  Could you explain to Sam Whittemore, Isaac Davis, Jonathan Harrington, Capt. Parker, etc. why what you were doing was more important than our liberty?  Do you think any of them would buy that excuse?

If you truly think so, fine, but that's go to be pretty important, imo.

For all of you going to a demonstration tomorrow, thank you.

Would be there but I had signed up months ago to RSO during that timeframe.  I shall be there in spirit.
